- 15 April, 2007. Minutes. ICEDIS Meeting, UKSG (Warwick). “Draft proposal submitted to the International Committee on EDI for Serials by EBSCO and THINK subscriptions.” Draft Proposal for CMS Activation Messages. (PowerPoint) (Summary from Minutes: Dan Tonkery (EBSCO) introduced the joint project between EBSCO, THINK Subscription and Meta Press designed to test the concept of using an XML version of the ICEDIS message, exchanged between subscription agent, publisher and online host, to speed up activation of e-journal orders and renewals. Paul Russell of THINK presented a prototype web-service-based proposal in which the agent sends an XML version of the ICEDIS message either to the publisher for onward transmission to the host, or to both publisher and host simultaneously, requiring a "go-ahead" message from the publisher to host. There was agreement that the ICEDIS e-journal message should provide the basis of an ICEDIS standard XML message, but that THINK, EBSCO and Swets would liaise to ensure that all required data elements were present, the format to ensure application to be interoperable with XML versions of the full ICEDIS suite of messages.)
